In September 1993, following the second meeting of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission, Beijing Municipal Party Committee and municipal government successively introduced various measures to increase anti-corruption efforts. On September 23, the “Beijing Daily” published the discipline inspection and supervision organs’ telephone numbers for reporting at 5192399 (nighttime and holidays: 3088507). On October 5, the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Supervision Bureau republished the prominence of the city through the “Beijing Daily” Discipline inspection and supervision organs to report the phone number.
