In August 1987, on the east coast of British Railways, Barna, north of Custer, completed a 600-meter-long line ballasting operation in 25 hours and immediately after the launch, the train was able to pass the line’s maximum permissible speed of 200 km / h . This is the first railway line in the world to be opened and operated at such a high speed after ballasting. Under normal circumstances, the train at least for a week to run in order to ballast can be compacted. This method of operation is due to the use of a Pulsar-made orbital vibration stabilized vehicle that is delaminated with ballasting operations. This method of operation was successfully researched by Bob Clarke, an assistant circuit engineer at the Eastern District of Leeds.
