Technological Situation of Steel Wire for Steel Cord of Radial TireZHANG Xi1,WANG Chun-xu2,SHI Qing-nan1(1.Faculty of Materitals and Metallurgical Engineering,Kunming University of Science and Technology,Kunming 650093,China;2.Institute for Structural Materials,Central Iron and Steel Research Institute,Beijing 100081,China)Abstract:According to the need for lightening of cars,requirement on strength of steel cord for radial tire is steadily increased.At present,4 000 MPa level steel cord for radial tire is commercialized and becomes the strongest industrial material.The culminated strength of steel cord for radial tire,strengthening method,strengthening mechanism,structural change in drawing process,technology of microstructure control and technology for improving ductility through secondary processing are introduced.
