访书、读书、抄书、收书五十春秋有余,而心情始终急切逼迫,故自我杜撰一词日“追书”。少时我即好篆刻,学篆刻首要阅读和临摹古贤的印谱,对亦师亦友的古印谱也就产生了兴趣,及长,有了访谱及购谱的需求。当时这冷门的旧谱除了少数的名谱其余都不昂贵,是消费得起的。读谱渐多,每苦于不知自宋元以降,古来究竟有几多的印谱和印学论著,遂有了集辑编纂《中国印学年表》的梦想。自知这是为捞针而下海,虽消息渺茫,但趣未尝减也。
