“八五”期间,福州市财政加大力度,增加对卫生事业的投入,支持福州市卫生事业的发展。从1991年至1995年,市财政共安排市本级卫生事业费21022.64万元,比“七五”期间的6061.21万元,增长了2.4倍。其中:正常经费8420.54万元,平均每年增长10%;专项经费12602.10万元,主要用于改善医疗基础设施。先后对市属10个医疗单位进行了改造建设,增加建筑面积7万平方米,医院床位从1991年的2580张
