《紫色》是艾丽斯·沃克的代表作,书信体的写作特点和黑人女性寻求身份认同使得作家和作品一度成为焦点。《紫色》描写美国南方乡下女子西莉一生的故事。1985年被改编搬上荧幕。导演是享誉艺术界的史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格,他给予《紫色》以惊人的戏剧性和丰富的想象。本文以电影叙事学的角度作为切入点,从叙事时间的交错,叙事空间的转换和叙事习惯的传承与突破三个方面透析电影《紫色》的叙事框架和叙事方式。
“Purple” is Alice Walker’s masterpiece, the epistolary writing features and the black women seeking identity make writers and works once became the focus. “Purple” describes the story of the life of Celie, a woman in the South of the United States. 1985 was adapted to the screen. The director is Steven Spielberg, a renowned artist who gives “purple” astonishing dramatic and rich imagination. This paper takes the perspective of film narratology as an entry point and analyzes the narrative frame and narrative mode of the film “Purple” from three aspects: the interlacement of narrative time, the transformation of narrative space and the inheritance and breakthrough of narrative habits.
