1望山,长白山南麓的一座高山。晴天,站在山半腰就可以望见长白山天池白雪皑皑的主峰。站名也是由此而来。铁路局征集铁路沿线站名趣谈,报社文化部编辑还特意给我打来电话约稿。长白山区铁路站名的确很有特色,珠宝岗、珍珠门、水帘洞、望江楼、火炬沟、仙人桥、石人……不是有美丽的传说就是有深刻的寓意。相比之下,望山,既没有任何神奇的传说,又没有什么浪漫的色彩。硬写出来也没有什么意思。唯一有点意思的是,站长和我打个比方说,望山像一个顶天立地的山神,一头挑着林业局,一头挑着煤矿,咱们铁路就像山神身上的动脉,日夜不停地往山
