The thymus contained in the animal thymus is a group of polypeptides. It has the function of regulating immune function. In China, production of thymohormone-containing injections such as porcine thymosin and calf thymosin has been used for the prevention and treatment of various immunodeficiency diseases. Since the use of injections often causes pain and inconvenience to patients, we conducted an experimental study of suppositories, one of the dosage forms for rectal administration. Because thymohormones contain both immune-promoting and immunosuppressive components, they are often dose-time-promoting, and when the dose is large, they are inhibitory, which is also a clinical application.
