一、中国农业正经历着无机化的过程以农牧混合自给自足为特点的中国小农经济,经历了几千年,其特点是依靠本系统内营养物质的封闭循环。虽然在一些农业比较发达、具有精耕细作传统的地区,如长江三角洲、珠江三角洲和川西平原,创造了象“桑基鱼塘”、“稻麦肥轮作”这样一些良好的生态系统,保持着较高的土壤肥力和农业产量。但总的看来,这种自给农业体制的生产力是比较低下的。这种封闭的循环系统早已维持不住,旧的有机农业体制越来越满足不了人类对粮食和其它农产品的需要了。
