由于哈尔滨地处祖国边隅,年代久远,文献无征,为我们留下了无数空白之页,致使人们欲论哈尔滨城市发展史,常有“不知从何说起”之感。有感于此,不揣鄙陋,撰写此文。一、城史纪元与哈尔滨城市发展史的一般规律我认为,关于城史纪元的年龄问题,是个很复杂的问题,并不容易断定。由于对城史纪元的问题存在着种种不同的理解和认识,导致了对城史纪元年龄的起算时间的多样性。例如:哈尔滨城史纪元的年龄,是以古代城市创建之年算起呢,还是以古代城市的起源之时算起,或是以近现代城市出现的时间算起?这是个令人颇费踌躇的历史问题。
