人耳所能接收到的声波频率为20Hz~20KHz,低于20Hz的声波称为次声波。次声波具有频率低、能量大、传播距离远等特点,广泛存在于自然界、工业生产环境、交通运输环境和军事环境中,在我们生活的环境中次声广泛的存在,地震、火山爆发、工业生产、交通运输均会产生次声。次声已是生产噪声和公共噪声的重要组成部分,而次声频率若与人体器官固有频率相同,就会产生共振现象而危害人体健康,因此环境次声的测量具有重要的实际意义。
