由于人们经常在盐丘的周围找到烃类,因此测绘盐丘构造是一项重视的工作。地面地震测量通常不能得出为指导钻井作业所需的精确盐丘图件。然而,垂直地震剖面却能提供盐体侧面较精确的轮廓而便于追踪侧面的有利位置。
Because people often find hydrocarbons around the salt dome, mapping salt dome construction is an important task. Ground-based seismic surveys often do not give the exact salt profile required to guide drilling operations. However, the vertical seismic profile provides a more accurate profile of the sides of the salt for easy tracking of the favorable positions of the sides.
