白蕉,是我国近现代艺术史上一位著名的书画家、诗人。建国前后,他与沈尹默、潘伯鹰诸位先生以书法著称,名盛海上,并称“书坛三杰”。白蕉的作品清新秀丽,有着浓郁的二王风貌和晋人洒脱的神韵。近年来,白蕉被认为是民国以来“帖学”的真正代表人物。然而,先生亦工绘画,尤擅画兰。且还善治印。为此,他的作品也被国家文物局列入1949年后已故著名书画家限制出境名单中。
