《二十年后再相会》是继《人到中年》之后,又一部反映中年知识分子生活的佳作。也是对改革题材影片作的一次新的可贵探索。影片试映后,上海市职工影视评论协会委托沪西工人文化宫影评组,邀请《相会》的编导演同工人影评员进行了座谈。时代感强信息量大柳珠(纺织影评协会): 影片描写了四位二十年前的同窗好友,他们重逢在船台上,为振兴祖国的造船事业,拚命工作。看后很有感触。我和他们是同一时代的大学生,已人到中年。我们这代人历经的挫折、痛苦……确实太多了,不少人因此而丧尽锐气。把二十年前立下的誓言,抛在一边。《相会》启迪了我们这些也曾热血沸腾过而今冷漠了的中年人。诸晖的心灵有创痛,袁朗的前路有阻拦,陈启明也身经曲折磨难,冯振羽更是走了一段弯路。尽管这样,他们都未忘记二十年前的誓言,依然“一片冰心在玉壶。”为了振兴祖国的造船工业同舟共济、竭心尽职,表现出我国中年知识分子强烈
