As a wonderful study of the world’s Gothic novel, the Australian gothic novel plays an important role in the fertile soil of the study of the world’s Gothic novel. Since Australia was originally a British colony and a criminal, Australian Goth inherited and developed the typical characteristics of English Gothic novels, but because of the difference of geographical environment and historical background, it has the characteristics of native Australian literature. Based on the understanding of the theory of Gothic novels, this article tries to probe into the Gothic space of Australia which is embodied in “Mr. Galois” and probes into it from the perspective of feminism. On the one hand, Oppression and bullying. On the other hand, they quietly repatriate themselves in the form of a nightmare in an attempt to overthrow the authority of patriarchy and break the male discourse.
