Asting Alloys used in the Department of Stomatology has been the first elemental alloy, the binary alloy increased up to more than 7,8 kinds of elements such as cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium, tin and so on. The addition of these elements improves and enhances the mechanical and chemical stability of the alloys. The alloys for casting are divided into three categories according to their melting temperature: high melting alloy (melting point above 1100 ° C), mid melting alloy (melting point 500 ° to 1000 ° C ℃), low melting alloy (melting point of 300 ° ~ 500 ℃). According to the scope of use can be divided (1) cast part of the dental bracket, substrate and other alloys such as cobalt chromium, 18-8 stainless steel, nickel and cobalt steel alloy and gold and platinum alloy. (2) crown bridge, inlay alloy such as nickel-chromium alloy, silver-palladium alloy, gold alloy. (3) porcelain alloys such as gold alloy, nickel-chromium alloy and nickel-cobalt alloy. According to economic value can be divided into precious metal alloys such as gold alloy, gold and platinum alloy: Semi-precious alloys such as silver palladium alloy and non-precious alloys, such as cobalt chromium alloy, nickel-chromium alloy, 18-8 stainless steel.
