公推直选作为领导干部人事制度改革的一个新的亮点正在受到各方关注。从过去几年的实践来看,公推直选的对象和范围不断扩大,已经从过去的副职扩大到正职,从基层政府扩展到省市级政府部门。2008年,贵阳市举行全国首次公推直选区县党委书记;2008年4月,云南省教育厅机关党委换届采取了公推直选方式,昆明市还制定了市级部门机关党组“公推直选”制度。
