The national character of Germany is complex, and the best way to understand this nation is through their art. For Chinese artists who love German art, the opportunity really came. On the afternoon of July 30, 2015, Marcus Lupuizi appeared at the conference room on the second floor of Shanghai Art Research Institute. The German neo-Expressionism masters visited the Palace of Fine Arts in China. After ordering two suit suits at a YMCA custom-tailored shop near the Jin Jiang Hotel, they plunged into Fengyang Road Alley, where the Shanghai Art Research Institute and East China Normal University, The Central Academy of Fine Arts, scholars from Germany’s Bochum University and artists, collectors from Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai conducted a series of in-depth discussions and a Chinese-style contact, sincere and humorous German neo-expressionism in Shanghai.
