白城杨是我们于1961年春在白城铁路林场选出的一个小叶杨和钻天杨(Populussimonii×P.pyramidalis)的天然杂种。白城杨生长迅速,并且比较耐寒、耐旱、耐盐碱,是我国北方干旱地区较好的造林树种。十几年来白城杨不仅在白城地区的11个县(市、旗)得到迅速发展,造林面积已达15万余亩。同时在我国东北、华北、西北的一些省(区)已有引种栽培,其中黑龙江、青海、河北、内蒙、吉林等省已将其列为全省的推广或试行推广良种。
Baicheng Yang is a natural hybrid of populus tomentosaurus and Populussimonii × P. pyramidalis, which we selected at the Baicheng Railway Forest Farm in the spring of 1961. Baicheng Yang grow rapidly, and more cold, drought, salt, is a better afforestation species in northern arid areas. In more than a decade Baicheng Yang not only enjoyed rapid development in 11 counties (cities and banners) in Baicheng area, but also afforestation area reached more than 150,000 mu. At the same time, some provinces (regions) in Northeast China, North China and Northwest China have been introduced and cultivated. Among them, Heilongjiang, Qinghai, Hebei, Inner Mongolia and Jilin provinces have listed it as the promotion or pilot promotion of the whole province.
