I was a teacher recommended by the rural school in 1972 to study Chinese. At first, I didn’t like languages. It was a section of “Appreciation of Chairman Mao’s poems” that made me change. I remember a female teacher named Ding who explained Chairman Mao’s words “Magnolia Magnolia Blossoms on Guangchang Road”: “All the days are white, and the snow is more imperative. The top of the mountain is over the red flag. Where to go? The Minjiang wind and snow fans are everywhere. The order was issued yesterday, and 100,000 workers and peasants were born in Ji’an.” The sharp contrast between the snow white and the red in the words shows the revolutionary pride of the Red Army in a harsh and harsh environment. “Over” and “Down” The word has written out that the Red Army is not afraid of the difficulties and it is invincible. This first word left me with an unforgettable impression, which enabled me to fall in love with the language and fall in love with ancient poetry. Looking back now, this may be the factor of the beauty that impressed me.
