Not long ago, at a residential exhibition held in Tokyo, a “computer house” designed and developed by Professor Ban Mujian of the Faculty of Science of the University of Tokyo in Japan was very compelling. Some of Japan’s major construction companies are discussing and unifying their basic assumptions about the 21st century “smart building”. Japan plans to set aside one million square meters of land in Nagasato, Chiba Prefecture to build a computer city called “TRON.” It is a complex of smart homes and smart buildings. The TRON information system is used in both residential and office buildings in TRON Computer City. Like driving a car, anyone can operate the TRON system with ease so that the environment in residential and office buildings will be perfect, aspirational and comfortable.
