根据国家对工业生产指数统计制度改革的要求，结合铁路工业的具体情况，提出铁路工业生产指数编制的意义和指数编制中有关产品范围、计算公式、代表产品选择、权数选择、指标确定、个体指数基期确定等一系列技术问题的处理方法．同时，对目前工业生产指数统计中存在的问题，提出了几点建议．
