人文精神是一种普遍的人类自我关怀,具体表现为对人的尊严、价值、命运的维护、追求和关切,对人类遗留下来的各种精神文化现象的高度珍视,对一种全面发展的理想人格的肯定和塑造。人文精神不仅是精神文明的主要内容,而且影响到物质文明建设。它是构成一个民族、一个地区文化个性的核心内容;是衡量一个民族、一个地区的文明程度的重要尺度。一个国家的国民人文修养的水准,在很大程度上取决于国民教育中人文教育的地位和水平。
Humanistic spirit is a universal human self-care. It manifests itself in the maintenance, pursuit and concern of human dignity, value and destiny. It cherishes highly all kinds of spiritual and cultural phenomena left by human beings, Personality affirmation and shaping. Humanistic spirit is not only the main content of spiritual civilization, but also affects the building of material civilization. It constitutes the core content of the cultural identity of a nation and a region. It is an important measure of the degree of civilization of a nation and a region. The standard of national humanistic accomplishment in a country depends to a large extent on the status and level of humanistic education in national education.
