据说在八千万年以前,昆仑山下曾是一片汪洋大海。后来,由于喜马拉雅造山运动,迫使海水渐渐退去,而隆起的喜马拉雅山,又阻挡住了来自印度洋的暖湿气流,使这里变得干旱少雨。地表慢慢被蒸发了,最后就形成了盐湖。
It is said that 80 million years ago, the Kunlun Mountains was an ocean. Later, as a result of the Himalayan orogeny, forcing the sea to gradually recede, the uplifted Himalayas blocked the warm and humid currents coming from the Indian Ocean, making it arid and dry. The surface slowly evaporated, and finally formed a salt lake.
