日本陆上自卫队和意大利陆军分别装备着外观相似、结构相近的轮式坦克,分别是16式机动战车和“半人马座”轮式战车。两车确实存在不少相似点,但是其不同之处也不少,毕竟是各国按照本国用途独自研发的装甲战车。共同特征研制目的和用途日本16式机动战车计划装备的部队是新“防卫大纲”规定改编的7个机动师团/旅团,具体包括:第2师团、第5旅团、第11旅团,第6师团、第12旅团、第14旅团和第8师团。最先装备的部队是第14旅团
