受习近平总书记、李克强总理委派,国务委员王勇代表党中央、国务院,率国务院工作组于24日紧急赶赴四川省阿坝藏族羌族自治州茂县,指导“6·24”特大山体滑坡灾害应急救援和善后处置工作。当日下午,王勇抵达茂县后立即赶赴叠溪镇新磨村事发现场,深入了解灾情和应急抢险救援情况。当晚,王勇在救援现场指挥部主持召开会议,传达习近平总书记、李克强总理等中央领导同志重要指示批示精神,听取四川省和有关单位负责同志关于灾害发生和应急救援工作情况汇报。
