我国的古代教育史可以说也是文言文的教育史,在文史哲不分家的情况下,教育的过程是通过学习文言文作品的过程完成的,因此文言文教材担负着文化教育的一切功能,具有相当重要的作用,纵观我国文言文教育的发展,大致经历了萌芽发展——成熟稳定——衰微没落——重新认识几个阶段,文言教材在各阶段也发挥着不同的作用。
