With the support of the National 863 Program, breakthroughs have been made in the key technologies of China’s space breeding by scientific research personnel, and an innovation system of ground-based simulated mutagenesis breeding technology has been established. The mutagenic characteristics of various factors in aerospace environment were studied from the aspects of particle biology, physical field biology and gravitational biology, and the space mutation breeding technology “multi-generation mixed continuous selection and directional tracking screening” was initially established. Further optimization of the target chamber design and sample processing procedures such as high-energy particle irradiation and physical field processing to simulate spaceflight mutation greatly improves the sample batch processing efficiency;
