我县地处豫东平原,东径115°06′～115°32′,北纬34°～34°15′。全县分为23个乡镇,439个村民委员会,总人口69万余人。今年元月份以来出现了流行性脑脊髓膜炎(下称流脑)的流行,5月15日疫情终止.共发病1492人,发病率为215.45/10万,死之21人,病死率为1.41%。为了掌握流脑的发病规律,制订防治对策和措施,我们对全年流脑流行情况作了较为详细的观察,现将调查结果报告于后。
