Learning interest is a cognitive tendency based on students' learning needs. Therefore, it is a cognitive tendency with strong emotional color, which is manifested in the degree of likes and dislikes of learning. Interest can arouse students' enthusiasm and their thirst for knowledge, so that they can think positively. Through the analysis of the current situation of junior English teaching, this paper puts forward the cultivation of junior students' interest in English learning. In this paper, there are four parts. Firstly, it introduces the importance of interest in learning. Secondly, it is the theoretical analysis of learning interest, which includes the definition of interest, the definition of interest in learning and the role of interest in learning. Thirdly, this paper expounds how to cultivate junior students' interest in learning English in and out of class. Finaly, it is conclusion. One of the keys to successful English teaching is to stimulate junior students' interest in learning English.
