选才、用才与育才是关系企业兴衰成败的根本战略问题,是否善于发现、使用和培育人才是企业领导者是否成熟的主要标志之一。汉高祖刘邦在总结自己战胜项羽的原因时,说自己论兵打仗不如韩信,论管理钱粮不如肖何,论运筹决策不如张良,“三者皆为人杰,吾能用之,此吾所以得天下者”。这说明领导者不一定非得事事比别人都强,但必须具备很强的综合能力,有超群的识人、用人才干,这是做好领导工作,保证企业兴旺发达的关键。
