Mobile multimedia services will account for 11% of total mobile service revenues in the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), surpassing the share of SMS revenue for the first time. In 2008, texting accounted for 10.3% of total mobile service revenue, compared to 10.1% for mobile multimedia services. The next few years, the share of SMS revenue will remain at 10%, while the share of mobile multimedia services revenue will continue to rise.
