Due to serious air pollution and special climate phenomena, frequent smog days in China in recent years, especially in autumn and winter. Smog days not only affect the road traffic conditions, but also affect human health. Because the fog and haze are very different, fog refers to the condensation of water vapor suspended in the air, affecting the visibility of the weather phenomenon. The main cause of haze is the suspension of a large number of particles in the air, the result of the combined action of meteorology and air pollution. According to doctors: the diameter of airborne particles as long as greater than 0.01 microns can be directly inhaled into the respiratory tract, and the fog contains a lot of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other nasal mucosa stimulate particles, can easily lead to respiratory diseases. Foggy days will also have some impact on patients with cardiovascular disease, especially for the elderly population. Therefore, it is especially reminded to the elderly friends to understand and attach importance to take appropriate scientific measures to minimize the harmful effects of smog days on their health.
