课堂教学中教师担任什么角色,直接或间接地影响着教学效果。新的大学英语要求和以多媒体教学为主要教学手段的现代教学中,教师要广泛利用多媒体和网络等现代技术信息,改变以教师讲授为主的传统的,单一的课堂教学模式;设计基于电脑和网络化的多式多样的、更加感官化的教学模式。教师不仅需要转变教育教学观念,改变教育教学方式方法,同时对自己在教学过程中所承担的角色的转变也应该有深刻的认识,尽早适应新的教学环境。
