多年来,从城乡居民旧棉衣、旧棉被等防寒物品中淘汰出的旧套子,除部分被回收用作造纸外,有相当数量随垃圾废弃。这在我国目前棉花资源紧张的情况下,实在是很大的浪费。其实,已经旧的发黑,板结如大饼的废旧古棉,其纤维强度并不一定差。这些旧棉经过挑选、脱色、上光、开松等几道工序简单处理后,仍保留其原有的纤维强度,且无菌无毒,棉絮松软,洁白如雪。可纺成付10支棉纱,也可加工成网套,其性能指标达到国标4级网套的标准。

After the simple processing of the selected cotton, decoloration, glazing, and opening, the old cotton still retains its original fiber strength, and it is sterile, non-toxic, and the cotton wool is soft and white as snow. It can be spun into 10 cotton yarns, and can also be processed into net sleeves. Its performance index has reached the standard of national standard 4 mesh sets.
