中国诸多传统文化艺术瑰宝中,书法可谓最具代表性的艺术表现形式。所以誉之为最,原因主要有三,其一,承载此门艺术的主体是中国文化赖以传播的最重要工具之一——汉字。这固然在某种程度上就决定了其在世界艺术舞台上的独特性;其二,书法是具有一定公用性的特殊艺术表现形式,在生活中有着很强的实用特点和普及特点;其三,创作此门艺术的工具是中国特有的文房四宝,在材料上亦体现出其特殊性。就是这样一门受外来文化影响极小的,传承汉民族文化的独特艺术表现形式。在跟随社会文化发展的过程中却显得有些步履蹒跚。
