刘艺一九三一年一月二十五日生于画家家庭,原籍台湾台中市,客居北京。一九四四年开始受党的影响,抗战胜利后参加爱国学生运动。一九四八年穿过封锁线进入解放区,入华北大学(中国人民大学前身)学习。结业后分配到太行老区任中学教师。一九五五年赴越南接办华侨中学任教导主任。一九五八年回国留中央侨委任《侨务报》主编。一九七五年调国家地震局任地震出版社副总编辑。一九八一年出席第一次全国书代会并当选中国书协理事。一九八三年调入中国书协机关任副秘书长,续任常务理事、副主席、评委会主任。二○○一年任中国书协顾问至今。享受国务院特殊津贴。二○一一年十二月获第四届中国书法兰亭奖·终身成就奖。
Liu Yi was born on January 25, 1931 in the family of painters, originally from Taichung, Taiwan, and resided in Beijing. Influenced by the party in 1944, it participated in the patriotic student movement after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. In 1948 through the blockade into the liberated areas, into North China University (Renmin University of China predecessor) to learn. After graduation assigned to the Taihang old school teachers. In 1955 went to Vietnam to host overseas Chinese middle school teaching director. Returned to China in 1958 to serve as chief editor of Overseas Chinese Affairs. In 1975, he was the deputy chief editor of the Earthquake Press of the State Seismological Bureau. In 1981 she attended the first national congress of the nation and was elected to the director of China Shuxie. In 1983, he was transferred to the Deputy Secretary General of the China Book Publishing House, and served as the executive director, vice chairman and director of the jury. In 2001, he served as consultant of China Association of Calligraphs so far. Enjoy the special allowance of the State Council. December 2011 won the Fourth China Calligraphy Lanting Award · Lifetime Achievement Award.
