In order to carry out the spirit of “Reservoir Description Technology” held by Xi’an Petroleum Institute in October 1987 by the Ministry of Science and Technology and speed up the research of reservoir description technology, the software suite of logging for East China Petroleum Institute was used in the original PDP-11 Based on the dedicated software system for logging, we developed the logging software system for VAX-Ⅱ series computers successfully on VAX-Ⅱ / 780 computer in our hospital in December, 1987. The VAX-II family of computers is the foundation of the company’s PDP-11 family of machines by Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC)
