本刊2009年第5(上)期介绍了法国一战时采用的哈其开斯M1914 8mm重机枪,而本文中的哈其开斯M1914重机枪为7.92mm口径。两者的工作原理相同,结构也基本相同。哈其开斯M1914 7.92mm重机枪采用导气式自动原理,枪机偏移式闭锁机构,发射7.92×57mm毛瑟步枪弹,采用金属弹板从枪身左侧供弹方式,金属弹板从枪身右侧退出,弹壳从机匣下方的抛壳窗抛出。
