陕西凤县铅洞山大型铅锌矿床,产于中泥盆统古道岭组上岩段含碳生物灰岩和星红铺组下岩段炭质千枚岩夹薄层灰岩的过渡带中,矿体呈似层状、透镜状赋存于铅洞山背斜的鞍部及两翼,受层位、岩相和构造控制。矿石按工业类型分混合及氧化铅锌矿石两类,前者金属矿物组合简单,主要为闪锌矿和方铅矿,并以黄铁矿量少为特点,脉石矿物以方解石、白云石、石英为主,但缺乏重晶石和萤石,矿石组构既有同生沉积之纹层状、条带状、斑点状构造和草莓状结构,又具后生改造之脉状及广泛发育的交代组构,矿床成因属沉积—改造型铅锌矿床。
