1949年10月1日中华人民共和国成立之后，中国共产党的主要任务已由进行革命战争转变为恢复和发展国民经济。党在军事斗争方面的现实目标，也由过去以夺取政权为主转变为以维护国家安全和领土主权不受侵犯、巩固人民民主专政的新生政权、保障社会主义建设所需要的和平环境为主。
After the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 1, 1949, the main task of the Chinese Communist Party has shifted from a revolutionary war to the restoration and development of the national economy. The party’s actual goal in the military struggle has also changed from taking the political power over the past as the main objective to safeguarding the security of the country and inviolability of territorial integrity and sovereignty, consolidating the people’s democratic dictatorship and safeguarding the peace environment required for the construction of socialism.
