劳乃宣(1843—1921)是清末民初颇有知名度的“小人物”。他进士出身,做过多年知县和幕僚,曾任南洋公学总理、杭州求是书院监院、浙江大学堂总理及监督、京师大学堂总监督兼署学部副大臣等职。民国以后,他隐居青岛,以遗老自居,参与复辟帝制。
Lao Nai Xuan (1843-1921) is quite famous in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. He graduated from Jinshi for many years and served as magistrate and aides. He was once the Nanyang Public School Prime Minister, the Hangzhou Institute of Trustees, the Zhejiang University Chancellor and Superintendent, the Imperial College Supervision Department and the Deputy Minister of Science. After the Republic of China, he retreated to Qingdao, with the oldest, to participate in the restoration of the monarchy.
