英国著名语言学家威尔金斯曾经说过:“没有语法人们表达的事物寥寥无几,而没有词汇人们则无法表达任何事物。”可见,英语学习的基础是词汇,学生在学习英语时,如果没有足够的词汇量,就不能学好英语。学生词汇量的大小在一定程度上能反映其英语水平,学生掌握词汇量的多少直接影响英语听、说、读、写能力的发展。教师如果想学生学好英语,就需要先解决词汇问题。因此,如何让学生在一定时间内最有效率地学好词汇是每名英语教师在教学中应该注意与学习的,只有帮助学生找到正确的学习词汇的方法,才能从真正意义上减轻学生的负担,同时提高教学的质量和目的。
