埃德蒙·菲尔普斯,2006年诺贝尔经济学奖获得者。1955年获得美国阿姆赫斯特学院文学士学位,1959年获得耶鲁大学经济学博士学位,师从诺奖得主詹姆斯·托宾教授。菲尔普斯曾经执教于耶鲁大学和宾西法尼亚大学,1971年起任美国哥伦比亚大学经济学教授。同时担任美国科学院院士、美国社会科学院院士、纽约科学院院士、美国经济学协会副会长、布鲁金斯经济事务委员会资深顾问、美联储学术会议专家、美国财政部和参议院金融委员会顾问、《美国经济评论》编委等。
Edmund Phelps, 2006 Nobel laureate in economics. 1955 Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College in the United States, Ph.D. in economics from Yale University in 1959, under the honorary title of Professor James Tobin. Phelps has taught at Yale University and University of Pennsylvania, 1971, Professor of Economics, Columbia University. At the same time as a member of the American Academy of Sciences, Academy of Social Sciences, academician of the New York Academy of Sciences, vice president of the American Economic Association, senior adviser to the Brookings Economic Panel, Federal Reserve academic conference experts, the US Treasury Department and the Senate Finance Committee consultant, “the U.S. economy Comments ”editorial board and so on.
