广州,拥有地铁的6座中国城市之一。从1992年12月28日广州地铁总公司成立,1993年12月28日广州地铁一号线动工到现在,广州已动工修建了4条地铁线路。我们的目光,投到这个城市文明的背后,深入到地下。关注10多年来,在地下默默工作的人们——此刻,在广州的大地下。有近20万人在工作着。地下人在掘进,地下人在监控,地下人在维护,地下人在运营。在广州地下这个巨大的血脉里。他们默默无闻。没人记录过他们,人们只记得线路的开通和隧道的里程。广州地铁才刚刚开始。现在的线路长度只有59.25公里。到2010年将累计建成229.6公里、143座车站,并投入运营。这个城市日新月异,我们有必要记着他们。他们当中的一些人为了广州,在深深的地下献出了鲜血、汗水甚至生命,而被记录下的,仅仅是一个事故新闻,一组伤亡数字。他们没有名字:2001年2月15日晚,广州地铁二号线江南大道17米深的桩井塌陷,一名作业民工因被埋窒息太久,抢救无效死亡。2001年8月19日凌晨1时30分左右,地铁工程三元里站小型塌方,一人死亡。2004年3月19日晚上,广州地铁番禺大石站发生事故。一湖南民工被埋,经抢救80分钟无效死亡。2006年4月24日凌晨4时许,地铁五号线淘金暗挖区间,一死四伤。死伤者均为四川籍工人、工地钻工。2006年8月2日8时左右,广州地铁石牌桥工地软土意外塌落,底部作业的三名工人一死三伤。……记录这些看不见的人,不是被他们感动,不是对他们怜悯,而是——尊敬。
