I. INTRODUCTION The migration of uranium in rocks when there is a strong metamorphism in the local crust mainly depends on two factors: (1) water movement; and (2) local melting. Water is contained in rocks, and the movement of water is extremely important for all regional metamorphism (ie, dehydration reactions).
