随着我国改革开放的进一步深入,外国影片不断引进国内,这些影片能否成功发行,电影片名翻译的作用不容小觑。在中国大陆和港台地区,电影片名的翻译既有共同之处,又有差异性。同一个电影片名,在这三个地区有不同的翻译版本,形式和内容大相径庭,观众感到很疑惑和不适。中国大陆和港台的电影片名翻译如何“求同存异”是我们需要共同探讨的问题。本文从实例出发,分析了电影片名的翻译方法和中国大陆和港台地区电影片名翻译差异性的原因。
With the deepening of China’s reform and opening up and the continuous introduction of foreign films into China, the successful issuance of these films can not be underestimated. In mainland China and Hong Kong and Taiwan, the translation of movie titles has both common ground and differences. The same movie title has different translations in these three regions. The format and contents are very different from those of the audience. The audience is very puzzled and uncomfortable. How to translate the titles of movies in Mainland China and Hong Kong and Taiwan into “seeking common ground while shelving differences” is a problem that we need to discuss together. Based on the examples, this paper analyzes the translation methods of movie titles and the reasons for the differences in the translation of movie titles between mainland China and Hong Kong and Taiwan.
