Two transport companies, Hong Kong International Terminals and Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals, are using a Vehicle ahd Container Number Recognition System (VECON), an electronic system that can identify license plates and container numbers. The identification system combines computer vision technology and neural network technology, automatically identify the number, be identified and verified. The system provides efficient, accurate and secure container arrival and departure management services to large-volume shipping companies.
