This paper introduces the structure, function and features of MG2 × 125/580-WD AC traction shearer electrical system and the application of 1140V medium voltage frequency converter on thin coal seam electric traction shearer. The characteristics of 1140V frequency conversion speed regulating system are introduced in detail.
