1965年本人患急性扁桃体炎,经用中西药物内服、注射、局部涂药,数日不能退热。后每遇外感、上火、食用辛辣,旋触旋发。后来自己制方选药,几经进退,剂量反复盈缩,优选出一张效方:银花30克,连翘、黄芩各10克,板兰根、生地、玄参各18克,麦冬、赤芍、丹皮、薄荷、荆芥、牛蒡子、桔梗各10克,甘草3克。水煎服,投之多收截断之效。方中银花、连翘、黄芩、板兰根清热解毒,泻肺胃而利咽喉;生地、玄参、麦冬养阴清热,壮水制火;赤芍、丹皮散瘀消肿;荆芥、牛蒡子、薄荷疏风利咽;桔梗、甘草宣肺利咽,张仲景名桔梗汤,治少阴病咽喉痛。合之共奏清热解毒、疏风消肿之功。如胡某,女,28岁。咽喉肿
